Yay!! The cover of City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare, the fourth novel in The Mortal Instruments series, was revealed this afternoon on Entertainment Weekly's Shelf Life and there's also a short excerpt you can read there too!

You can also check out Cassandra Clare's blog for more details on the cover (and a close-up shot of it!), including the fact that the Second Cycle covers will each be featuring two characters!

Release Date: April 5, 2011
Publisher: Margaret K. McElderry

Summary:
Love, blood, betrayal and revenge — the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels. Simon Lewis is having some trouble adjusting to his new life as a vampire, especially now that he hardly sees his best friend Clary, who is caught up in training to be a Shadowhunter—and spending time with her new boyfriend Jace. Not to mention that Simon doesn’t quite know how to handle the pressure of not-quite-dating two girls at once. What’s a daylight-loving vampire to do? Simon decides he needs a break and heads out of the city—only to discover that sinister events are following him. Realizing that the war they thought they’d won might not yet be over, Simon has to call on his Shadowhunter friends to save the day — if they can put their own splintering relationships on hold long enough to rise to the challenge.

What do you guys think? Clary's eyes looked a bit scary at first glance but it's really just because of the bright, green colour they used, and I love how she's wearing the Morgenstern ring around her neck! And Simon looks so cool- like everyone just walks around with arrows on their back everyday!

I can't wait to have this book sitting on my shelf! I hope it has the metallic sheen to it again like the previous covers... it would be so pretty! The book comes out the day after my birthday, so it's going to be an awesome present!
