Book Trailer! - Strings Attached by Judy Blundell

6:47 PM

I came across the book trailer for Judy Blundell's upcoming release Strings Attached this afternoon from a RT by @ThisIsPoint! I couldn't find the book trailer on YouTube yet, so this is the one from Scholastic's website where they have a Trade Video Player to watch book trailers, author interviews and such. (Once the trailer shows up on Scholastic's YouTube channel, I'll probably switch it...)

Release Date: March 1, 2011
Publisher: Scholastic Press

Summary (from Chapters/Indigo):
Kit Corrigan has always dreamed of being a star. But in order to get there, she needs to break up with Billy, who's going to Korea, and leave her family in Providence, Rhode Island, to move to New York City. There, she finds small roles and a city that's tough to live in. After she meets with Billy's father, Nate, things get a little easier. But Nate is a lawyer who defends mobsters, and soon Kit realizes that she has to do what he asks of her. Kit's life starts to feel beyond her control, especially once she uncovers a mystery that she needs to solve in order to protect the people she loves. As she did in her National Book Award-winning What I Saw and How I Lied, Judy Blundell traps readers in a web of deceit, intrigue, and profound moral questions. The result? One stunner of a novel.

The book trailer is pretty great, don't you think? I love how the narrator gives you just enough backdrop info so you're left wondering what's going to happen to Kit. And the music captures the era so nicely... it definitely feels like you're stepping back in time!

Are you looking forward to Judy Blundell's Strings Attached
